High Performance of Chrysler 300 SRT8

Chrysler launched its 300 flagship sedan in 2005 and then redesigned it in 2011 with all-new Chrysler 300, 300 imperfect and 300C versions. For 2012, the Chrysler product is expanding the appeal of its performance luxury sedan even further by launching three all-new models.

As the king of the arrangement, the 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 adds a high-performance 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 engine promising 465 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque, offering heart pounding, and adrenaline overflowing enthusiasm.

Standard steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters join the standard Auto Stick on the floor comfort; both are mated to the five-speed automatic transmission.

Along with the luxurious console and innovative features found in the all-new 2012 300 sedan, the 2012 SRT8 promises 0-60 mph acceleration in the high 4-second range; quarter mile in high 12-second range; 0-100-0 mph in less than 16 seconds; and a top speed of 175 mph.

Braking is provided by 14.2 inch and 13.8 inch vented/slotted rotors with four-piston Brembo calipers which bring the 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 from 60-0 mph in 120 feet.

Along with all this high performance, Chrysler gives the 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 a full-color graphic EVIC system with fashionable Performance Pages that includes timers for 0-60 mph, one-eighth mile and quarter-mile times, 60-0 braking distance, along with tangential and longitudinal g-forces inside the touch screen display.

To maximize their driving familiarity and skills on the street or track, owners of any Chrysler Group SRT vehicle also receive one day of proficient driving instruction from the Richard Petty Racing School as part of the SRT Track Experience.
